December 1 – Looking at a picture of himself as a baby being held by Poppy: “He looks kind of different. Is that the same Poppy as when I am big?”<\/p>\n
December 2 – Loading the crock pot for Papa’s supper: “He better like this.”<\/p>\n
December 9 – Playing hide and seek: “I’m not going to count. I’m just going to count in my brain.”<\/p>\n
December 12 – Opening my box from Kohls: “There’s not any good stuff I like in here.”<\/p>\n
December 18 – Examining the presents from Uncle Gene. One is a wrapped 9-volt battery and he said “I think this is floss.” Another one is five AA batteries and he said “And this is medicine or something like that.”<\/p>\n
December 19 – Papa: “What did you put in my soup?” Daniel: “Oh just whatever.””<\/p>\n
December 21 – Daniel does not realize that some of his Windows terminology is unique to him, such as, he calls the Start menu The Flag. He’s turned on voice recognition and is really working hard to give clearly enunciated commands such as “Open the flag” and poor guy doesn’t know why it’s not working. And mean old Mama is just trying not to laugh.<\/p>\n
December 27 – Daniel to his Papa: “You say ‘No’ but my mind says ‘Yes’.”<\/p>\n
December 28 – Right after I had asked Papa a question, Daniel: “Did Pa say the right thing?” Me: “Yes.” Daniel: “Sometimes he forgets.”<\/p>\n
December 29 – Daniel keeps offering me lotion and saying “Here is some potion for you, Mama.”<\/p>\n
December 31 – Daniel draws a horizontal line on a piece of paper. He then draws a line under it. He told me to write my name on the first one and my password on the second one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
