April 1 – Daniel speaking of a toy store: “Can we go to Phillip’s today? It’s more fun than going to Kroger.”<\/p>\n

April 1 at the park having just gone down a slide –<\/p>\n

April 2 – Listening to Daniel\u00a0sing “Doobie doobie doo” while playing at the park.<\/p>\n

April 3 –\u00a0Daniel so sweetly applied eye shadow all over one side of my face. I hated to wash it off but didn’t think Kroger was ready for the Gene Simmons look.<\/p>\n

April 3 – Seeing\u00a0Daniel talking to some much older girls at the park: “Did you talk to some girls?” Daniel: “Yeah. I said Hi to them.”<\/p>\n

April 8 – Daniel was playing with a bendy snake and said that when it was all bent it was in German and when he straightened it back out it was in English.<\/p>\n

April 11 – Is\u00a0Daniel going to be punny? We were peeling and slicing former Easter eggs and he says, “This cracks me up.”<\/p>\n

April 11 –\u00a0Daniel asked\u00a0what Jesus sounded like and I told him that the Bible didn’t say, just what he said. He said, “I think it doesn’t say because he sounds like Poppy, but isn’t Poppy.”<\/p>\n

April 17 – At the farmer’s market<\/p>\n

April 18 – “I need food every one nap. The toot toots let out the energy and I need to eat food to put more energy in.”<\/p>\n

April 19 –\u00a0“Mama, you’re the best.”<\/p>\n

April 24 – Daniel: “Why do you not wear your glasses when you sleep?” Me: “Because my eyes are closed when I sleep, so I don’t need them.” Daniel: “I keep my eyes open when I sleep. I have to see my bunny. I have to know if I have the right leg.”<\/p>\n

April 25 – “Now the nice lady is going to sing, Amy Grant.” Sings in falseto. “That wasn’t her. It was her grandfather.”<\/p>\n

April 26 – In the car seat reading about trees<\/p>\n

April 27 – The comedian strikes again. “Do you need some time?” Lifts his shirt and a sand timer falls out.<\/p>\n
