Yesterday was the first time I really knew Daniel was calling me “Mama”.\u00a0 He usually does it when he wants to be picked up or rescued.\u00a0 Also, yesterday, we learned he has another word: “mmba”.\u00a0 In the context we knew it meant bottle.\u00a0 He was really tired and was ready to go to bed, so started asking for an “mmba”.\u00a0 Gene asked if he wanted a bottle, and Daniel got a little frustrated that we didn’t just know that was what “mmba” was.\u00a0 So today Daniel used his first two word combination.\u00a0 I thought I would start getting him used to a sippy cup by putting some of his milk in one.\u00a0 Oh my, he got really upset.\u00a0 He cried and pushed it away and then several times said “Mama, mmba!”\u00a0 I transferred his milk to a bottle and that made him happy.\u00a0 Looks like milk will have to stay in an “mmba” for now.<\/p>\n
