I thought the yarn worked well for this pattern, but my original start was for a full sized blanket. I ripped it out, and made a preemie set. I improvised the hat to be of the same pattern. The pattern is Rainbow Sprinkles by Kathy Wesley, published in American School of Needlework #1255, The Ultimate Book of Baby Afghans.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/11jul04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1010\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/11jul04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/11jul04.jpg 600w, http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/11jul04-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/11jul04-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is made from Caron Simply Soft yarn. I worked on this for seven months off and on. I love the prints because they are so soft. This is a pattern I have used <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/2011\/05\/23\/may-2011-hospice-batch\/\">before<\/a> and I&#8217;m sure I will use again. I have used this <a href=\"http:\/\/stashaholic.com\/2005\/10\/12\/stashaholics-brain-dead-afghan.aspx\">pattern<\/a> a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/2011\/01\/24\/additional-december-lap-blankets\/\">couple<\/a> of times <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/2011\/01\/23\/a-fulfilling-way-to-use-the-stash\/\">before<\/a>, and I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;ll use it many times more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I made eight donations to the July 2011 batch for hospice.
