I contributed six lap blankets and nine preemie blankets. Other volunteers make baby hats, so I used coordinating yarn to make blankets to pair with them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/12mar01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1560\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/12mar01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/12mar01.jpg 600w, http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/12mar01-300x66.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/files\/12mar01-150x33.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This first lap blanket is from some donated Jeanne\u00a0salmon colored cotton yarn and some ecru cotton I had on hand. The pattern is Diamond Ripple by Anne Halliday in Leisure Arts #108214, Afghans for All Seasons, Book 2.<\/p>\n<p>The second lap blanket is from Baby Bee Pitter Pattern yarn.\u00a0I had started a baby blanket for my son, who is now nearly four, so he doesn&#8217;t need it. I finished it as\u00a0a lap blanket. It is the standard feather and fan stitch.<\/p>\n<p>The third lap blanket\u00a0is\u00a0yet another one of <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20060113120229\/http:\/\/project-angel-kisses.150m.com\/roundripple.html\">Lyn\u2019s Round Ripple Blankets<\/a>. The first two are patterns I have posted: <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/2012\/01\/28\/tiffany-lace-baby-blanket\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tiffany Lace Baby Blanket<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thetucker.com\/knit\/2012\/02\/01\/fan-lace-baby-blanket\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fan Lace Baby Blanket<\/a>. The third is an original design in Tunisian crochet. I haven&#8217;t gotten brave enough to write up the pattern and post it.
