Lazy Yellow Boys

The original three – and still unwashed

Hmmm….so why do Nymmie and Sunny think Frankie needs cleaning help?
These are Frankie’s various positions at the top of the stairs over the course of about an hour. He’s finally comfortable staying outside the safety net of the garage for extended periods of time. Note the kickplate we had to install to keep the boys from slinking through the old cat door. To think we were worried a regular door would be too small for them…
He says he’s just cleaning, but it looks like aerobics to me.
This is the picture you get when Daddy is trying to take your picture, but you’d rather be playing with the lens cap and hand strap.
Having cats has moments that are like having kids. One of those moments is when you step on a toy at an inopportune time. So we gave the kitties a toy box to put all their little goodies in when not in use. Nymmie checks in it periodically and pulls out whatever he wants to play with at a given moment.
A yellow boy coming with impunity (and aid from daddy, as one might tell from the annoyed expression on his face) and a black boy going with impunity. When we moved their food and litter box to the garage, we put this door in the wall to promote the free exchange of cats. Nymmie took to the idea pretty fast, but Sunny pouted and yelled about it for a few weeks. It’s part of his routine now, though, so he would yell if we took it away. We didn’t think Frankie would ever use the door, but an experimental and temporary relocation of their food outside the garage proved that he’ll do whatever it takes to keep himself unfit.
This is a little stool that my grandmother used to have in her den. I use it to sit on when performing litterbox duty. Papa had told me several days ago that Frankie had taken to sitting on it, but I hadn’t seen him myself until today.
So, as you can see, the yellow boys aren’t the only desk objects. But Frankie spills out of the little wooly bed a bit more.
