I use this pattern a lot, but it just makes a great baby blanket.

These are a wedding gift for a friend that has craftsman decor. They are knitted with Caron Simply Soft in the color Truffle Heather.

Necessity is the mother of invention, and no one has more necessity than a mother. My son was teething on the edge of the crib, and I didn’t want him to be eating the finish, so I made what I can only think to call a crib shrug to protect him from the finish. It is knitted from Bernat Handicrafter Cotton Lime Stripes. The edging and ties are crochetted.

This is my son’s Easter carrot. The body of the carrot is knitted and the green top is crochet. It is all from cotton yarn.

This is a simple afghan from Lion’s Brand Homespun. It features cables on one side and an eyelet pattern on the other.

I made my son a Santa hat for his first Christmas.

After making so many baby gifts for so many other babies, I can finally make things for my own! Here is the first blanket for baby to come.

This is a sweater and cap for a 12-month-old boy that I made for a expectant friend. They are made of Bernat Baby Softee yarn.

This is leftover yarn from the afghan in the Sampler Afghan post. This was an idea I had that I thought would be fun. The edgings at the sleeve, collar, front and bottom fill in to the diamonds so that the diamonds are all complete. The sleeves are raglan, with the edge being the join of the diamond edges. This was a lot of fun to make.

This is a new pattern that I got in a set of books I got by Barbara Walker that have become my favorite knitting companions. This very simple pattern works great for these bulky yarns. The top and bottom edge form a really nice subtle wave. It is also attactive on both sides. I will definitely use this pattern again.
