  1. Thanks so much for sharing your patterns. My hubby is undergoing treatments at this time so I’m with him in the chemo room. Am making hats for the Brighton, MI cancer center. Your patterns are beautiful. Where do I get Bamboo yarn?

    Many thanks,

    • Bamboo yarn has rapidly gained popularity. Many of the chain stores that sell yarn now offer a few bamboo selections. Most of the online yarn stores now have bamboo yarn. You can usually sort or filter on fiber. It is usually a blend with another fiber.

      • Hi. I live in Northville, Mi and you can find bamboo yarn at the Joann store in Brighton or Novi and there is a nice little yarn store in downtown Milford.
I made some beautiful chemo caps with Florafil cotton yarn. any soft cotton yarn will work great.
        hang in there!

  2. I got some bamboo yarn at JoAnn’s

  3. While I underwent chemo, (I am a knitter) I wore a cap, that I made that was much like your ‘rib and lace’. I used a lightwieght cotton yarn. Great pattern, it was just heavy enough for at night, throughout a hot summer.
By the way that was six years ago, and I am doing great!

  4. linda, I am a cancer survior as well. I am knitting my chemo hats for our cancer center here in Montgomery, Al.
My cancer was 5 years ago. So hang in there.

  5. Hi there, I found your Simple Lines afghan pattern, and I’m in the process of making it now, I make the blankets for my local animal shelter, and I don’t know who loves them more, the animals, or the volunteers. Thank you.
