We’re exhausted, so details will have to follow. No major complications came up, though, and our little boy is here!

Daniel loves to straighten his legs, which can be very uncomfortable for me. We caught a bit of his leg straightening action on this last ultra sound a couple of days ago. Check out these chunky baby legs. Feet are on the left.

Yesterday we had an ultra sound to see how Daniel was positioned and get his estimated size. He’s in the correct position and the ultra sound estimated size is 7 pounds 12 ounces, although our doctor thinks that is probably an over estimate and he’s probably more like 7 pounds. One of the things we saw that I wasn’t expecting was hair! I had no idea you could see hair on an ultra sound, but the technician pointed it out. Pop and Mimi won’t know what to do with a baby with hair because I didn’t have any.
This shot is showing the circumference of his head. He is looking to the left. On the upper right you can see little lines coming from his head which is the hair. I apologize for the picture quality. This is a photo of the TV screen.

| Melissa hosted the church shower for us at her house. She did an amazing job (as she always does!) organizing and decorating. |

| Sharon gave us this great selection of things for us and Daniel. There is a scrapbooking calendar and parenting books, and then a really cute teddy bear and several books for Daniel and a really cute dish set. |

| This clothes hamper and all these little hangers are from Kelly. Kelly also brought great cookies to the shower. |

| Vicki gave a wonderful devotional at the shower. She gave Daniel this cute seahorse rattle and these really soft washcloths and hoodie towel. |

| This great waterproof bib and really cute thermal blanket are from Dixie. She also brought the cutest cucumber sandwiches to the shower. |

| Tiffany and Melody weren’t able to come to the shower but sent this adorable sweater outfit. |

| These cute foot rattles, duck rattle, onesie, baby powder and soap are from Cara. Cara was also so sweet to load up our vehicle with all the gifts. |

| This cute silly monkey onesie with coordinating drawstring pants and socks are from Melissa. In addition to all the decorating and preparation Melissa did for the shower, she made these great spring rolls and tiny chicken salad sandwiches. |

| This really cute first year calendar is from Nikki and her girls, Casey and Elise. Casey also gave Daniel this cute little green bear. Nikki brought the most beautiful cake to the shower. |

Papaw, Aunt Brenda and Uncle Larry came to town for Papaw’s POW meeting. We were able to have several meals together as well as do a little computer shopping for Larry. Aunt Brenda and Uncle Larry brought gifts for Daniel – this beautiful little children’s story Bible and baby clippers that are lighted.
