This is one of Daniel’s favorite playgrounds. This morning he played here for a long time. When we first arrived, we were the only ones there, so had the whole place to ourselves.

These mazes are really neat and Daniel has a lot of fun in them. He likes these swinging stairs.

Sometimes it’s fun to play on a bench that goes around a tree, although it wasn’t really part of the play equipment.

Daniel has really gotten into watercolors lately. He watercolored this beautiful card for me for Mother’s Day.

“Mama, what’s this funny bug?” I go to look, and it’s our first 2011 cicada.

Daniel watched as the cicada made it’s way toward the nearest tree. He gently touched it a few times.

He followed as it made it’s way up the tree.

Papa decorated the kitchen.

Papa also got Daniel some great balloons.

Daniel discovered his birthday balloons Saturday morning. The 3 is as big as he is.
