Thirteen Months Old Today
Daniel is thirteen months old today. Mimi and Mama took him to a nearby park area for some pictures.

Thirteen Months Old TodayDaniel is thirteen months old today. Mimi and Mama took him to a nearby park area for some pictures. When I told Daniel he was sitting on a rock, he rocked. He’s a mess. Bean Bag ClimbingPoppy took this little video of Daniel in his bean bag. He’s playing with his Skwish. Happy Memorial DayMama, Papa, Mimi, Poppy and Daniel went to a nearby barbecue restaurant for lunch. Daniel started out a little reserved. Straws are fun. Daniel got tired of sitting in the high chair so Poppy held him and Daniel tried to get into his food. Daniel was silly and lay in the seat. He’s holding a ball of foil from Mama’s baked potato. He decided he wanted to taste the foil ball. He put the whole thing in his mouth. Lid SuccessThis is video of Daniel successfully screwing the lid on the jar. This is actually the second time he did it this morning. The first time was so quick I wasn’t expecting it. Lid PatienceI have been checking milestone charts and can’t find the age at which a child should be able to screw the lid on a jar. I did find where they should be able to unscrew a lid between 2 and 3 years of age. Poppy witnessed Daniel successfully getting a lid aligned correctly and screwing it on. I don’t have a video of him doing it successfully, but this clearly demonstrates that is his goal and also his amazing level of patience. Dancing to the ShushiesDaniel has a new channel that he’s really enjoying called BabyFirst TV. One of the programs is Shushybye Baby. The Shushies play music and sing and Daniel just can’t resist dancing. Grocery ShoppingDaniel loves his grocery shopping trips. Mama and Daniel usually go grocery shopping on Wednesdays when the new sales start for the week. Daniel uses his cart cover from cousin Karen and has a juicer that he plays with, in addition to grocery items and grocery lists which are also fun. Front Door FacesOn coming back from the mail box, I found Daniel standing in the front door with his mouth wide open to the glass, all teeth and tongue. Of course I didn’t have the camera, so completely missed the money shot. I went in to get the camera to see if he would repeat that one. Of course he didn’t, but he still made a couple of silly faces. Bean BagMimi and Poppy got Daniel a bean bag for his birthday. Daniel is trying it out. Kitchen playDaniel loves to play in the kitchen. He has outgrown his bouncy seat, but likes to play with it and turn it over. He takes the seat cushions out the chairs and lays on them. |
