Juniper Tree
Daniel played outside for a while when we got back from the grocery store. He loves to pull bark off the juniper tree in the front yard.

Hard WorkerWe stopped by Aunt Christina’s house yesterday. She wasn’t home, but there were lots of branches that had fallen out of the tree in her front yard. Mama picked up a couple of the larger ones and threw them onto the brush pile that was already started by the street. Daniel took that cue and became a man with a mission. He gathered up all the sticks in the yard and threw them onto the pile. He worked really hard on a hot day. After all that hard work Daniel fell asleep in the car. “Cycle”Daniel is extremely proud of his new Radio Flyer tricycle. He can’t reach the pedals, so he sits on the upper deck and pushes the floor with his feet. He has been eating all his meals and snacks on his new “cycle”. Wagon and UrnDaniel can get creative on the use of things. Papa lined the big urn with a garabage bag because Daniel has been dropping things in it for a long time. Here, Daniel has pushed his wagon up to the urn so that he can stand in the wagon and add things to and take things from the urn. Rice cooker, wisk and friesDaniel has the insert and lid of the rice cooker, a wisk, and his breakfast fries. Bath FunDaniel can be really cute and funny during his bath. He sings and plays with his cookware. His frog drinks water.
Play DoughWhen Daniel woke early from his nap I scrambled for an activity to keep him entertained. I made some home made play dough, which Daniel seemed to enjoy.
New BinocularsDaniel really enjoyed getting birthday cards in the mail. He wanted “more”, so with some of his birthday money, we ordered him a couple of magazine subscriptions appropriate to his age. One of them came with binoculars which arrived yesterday. Daniel now thinks they are a requirement for going out on the deck. |
