NormalizingIt’s been two and a half weeks since Daniel took his last dose of his medication. We had some hard times after that as his body went through a healing process. Things are beginning to normalize now for the first time in his life. This picture in his play pen was taken after his first two hour nap in his crib!
Curly HeadIt seems like Daniel’s hair which has been dormant for so long has started to grow overnight. He’s getting some serious curls in the back! Daniel is sharing Mama’s water bottle. When I drink out of the nozzle, he sucks on the handle.
Eight Months OldDaniel is eight months old today. He’s close to 20 pounds and is 28 inches long. He has four teeth. Here’s a video of what Daniel does when laying on top of the dryer when Mama does laundry. Christmas EveningDaniel is about to have some apples courtesy of Papa. He has on his First Christmas bib and briefly models his new bath towel, both from Uncle Larry and Aunt Brenda.
Christmas Dinner at Mammy’sDaniel, Papa, Mama and Poppy went to Mammy’s for Christmas dinner. Pappy, Uncle Tom, Uncle Kenneth, Aunt Elizabeth and cousin Rachel were there as well. Daniel did really well considering he was really short on naps. We weren’t short of anything to eat.

Opening presents, part oneDaniel was amazing opening presents. He acted like a professional, as though he’d done this lots of times. We were amazed with how long his good mood lasted. This first set of pictures are the ones Mimi took. Wrapping paper looks good enough to eat.
