Seven Months Today

It’s hard to believe, but Daniel is seven months old today. We’ve come a long way!  We are working our way off his acid reflux medication and should be completely medication free by the end of the year.

I don’t have an exact weight, but estimate that Daniel is between 18 1/2 and 19 pounds.  He’s a tight fit in his 9 month sized clothes.

Papa’s grandfather was in town for Thanksgiving so we met all the folks for a burger before Papaw went home.  Daniel was just kind of quiet.

These pictures are funny because Daniel and Papaw sort of have the same expressions.

Papa took a silly candid shot, so we all have funny expressions.

Mama took these shots.  Daniel likes to feel of Papa’s beard.

Daniel fell asleep in the car and continued his nap for a while when we got home.

Turkey Tooth

I was quick on announcing his third tooth.  It actually appeared today.  It’s just been stretched so tight for the past week that it was really white and looked like it was through.  Daniel had a terrible time last night as this tooth came through.  Tooth number four is really close.  Daniel does this thing I can only describe as chewing tobacco.  We are all ready for this tooth number four to come in and then we will hopefully get a little break from the tooth business.

Daniel’s First Thanksgiving

None of us tired old folks felt up to cooking, so we went out to eat for Thanksgiving lunch. Here is Mimi with Daniel and Bunny before we left the house.

Here is a rare picture of Mama and Daniel. Don’t you just love his two bottom teeth?

You can see Uncle Tom sitting in the background here.  Look at Daniel’s blue eyes.

Mimi gave Daniel his bottle while the rest of us started chowing.

This is Daniel’s first time to use the high chair proctector his cousin Karen gave him.  He has on his Thanksgiving bib from Uncle Larry and Aunt Brenda and his sharp Ralph Lauren coverall from Aunt Christina.

Pappy trying to get Daniel to talk to him.  Mammy, Papa and Mama are sitting across the table.

Isn’t this just the cutest little ham biscuit!

Poppy’s just a wee bit proud of the boy.

Sweet potatoes may even be better than carrots

Daniel tried sweet potatoes for the first time today and ate them with gusto.

Third Tooth

Daniel had a rough night sleeping, but it appears that his third tooth (upper left) has broken through and his fourth (upper right) has partially broken through.  Daniel was not being at all cooperative with getting one of those nice wet mouth pictures, so I’ll just post these cute pictures of him playing in his crib.

Too cold to be outside

It’s too cold to be outside, but at least Daniel can look out the window.

Still likes carrots

After a week of carrots, Daniel still likes them, but they can be messy.

Going to the grocery store

When we go to the grocery store, Daniel bundles up in his cap and blanket his Mama made him.  He likes to chew on his blanket.  He likes the grocery store because it has lots of STUFF and Daniel loves STUFF.

A boy and his bunny

Daniel uses his bouncy seat like an easy chair to watch TV.  He likes having his toy box beside him so that he can pull out what he wants.  Here he is with the bunny Aunt Christina made him.

Yummy Carrots

Daniel hasn’t shown a lot of interest in the rice cereal I’ve been offering him.  Today we tried carrots, and Daniel thought those were really good.  He ate a third of a jar at his first try.
