Daniel is about to have some apples courtesy of Papa.  He has on his First Christmas bib and briefly models his new bath towel, both from Uncle Larry and Aunt Brenda.

Daniel, Papa, Mama and Poppy went to Mammy’s for Christmas dinner.  Pappy, Uncle Tom, Uncle Kenneth, Aunt Elizabeth and cousin Rachel were there as well.  Daniel did really well considering he was really short on naps. We weren’t short of anything to eat.

Daniel was amazing opening presents.  He acted like a professional, as though he’d done this lots of times.  We were amazed with how long his good mood lasted.  This first set of pictures are the ones Mimi took.

Since we have a lot a Daniel things like the play pen, jumper and activity center crammed in our living room, we went with a small Christmas tree.  Papa said, “It’s still bigger than Daniel.” Uncle Kenneth hand carved and painted all these wooden ornaments for Daniel.  He even carved a box with a sliding top to keep them in.  It looks like Daniel is going to have a big Christmas.

Poppy and Mimi cleaned up Mama’s old play pen and Mammy made custom fit quilts for it.  Daniel took right to it!

Today we had a momentous occasion.  Daniel just had his last dose of Zegerid, the medicine he’s been taking for acid reflux for the past five months.  Half of that time has been spent reducing it to try to get him off of it.  It’s been a tough road, and we will probably have a few more rough days before we are through, but things are just going to get better after that.
