Daniel is cuddled in his Mammy quilt watching a little TV before bed.

Before it gets too hot again, Mama and Daniel took another short zoo trip.  We sat in a rocking chair and watched the carousel as Daniel had his bottle.  Then we saw sheep, goats, a horse and chickens.  Daniel enjoyed a little rest on this bench.

We stopped and watched some other children playing in the jungle gym and Daniel had a go at a swing.

After Daniel went to bed tonight, Papa pulled everything out of the floor.  This was Daniel’s stash.

About a week ago I came into the kitchen to find Daniel dropping a bottle of barbecue sauce into the hole in the floor where he had removed the floor register.  He had four sauce bottles in the hole.  Today I caught him in the act, so got some video.

For Independence Day we had lunch at Mr. Seth and Mrs. Dixie’s house.  Daniel got to play with some of Zayli’s toys.  While we had lunch, Daniel had his rice puffs.  He usually doesn’t have a tablecloth, so that was the novelty of the day.

Today Mama braved taking Daniel to the zoo by herself.  All went fine except for the 30 minutes he insisted on being carried and that was a little tough on Mama’s back.

Daniel had a bottle when we first got there.

While taking his bottle we were really close to the monkeys and they were really whooping it up.   We went to take a look and Daniel just thought they were really loud.

The turtle was too slow, so I’m not sure Daniel paid much attention to him.

Daniel enjoyed shaking the bamboo.

The fish were really moving so Daniel really paid attention to them.  He reached for them and wanted to touch them so bad.

We stopped for a snack break.  Daniel had some of his beloved rice puffs.

He made a little game of putting puffs in his foo and shared a puff with me.

Our little boy keeps growing up, just like a little weed.  Lately he has liked to spend some time in the mornings in the swing on our back patio.

Daniel was full of things to talk about this morning.  I wish I understood it.

Daniel was really working on his whistling today.  You could hear the whistling better in this video if he had not also been trying to get the camera.
