Elevator Basket

Daniel has “items” in the dining room, like tea bags and empty plastic containers that he likes to play with.  One of the things he likes to do is to put his items in a basket and either take them out or dump them out.  Tonight Papa tied a string to the basket and lifted and lowered it.  At first Daniel thought that was strange but then really liked it.  He would situate the cargo like he wanted and then start the lift to signal Papa to pull the string.

Good

We use the word “good” with Daniel a lot about things he has done or food he is eating.  He’s been practicing saying “good” a lot and says it pretty clearly in this video with Mimi and Poppy.

The Dismount

Daniel still needs help getting up on the loveseat but has mastered the dismount.

Playing Outside

Playing outside is fun.  There is grass to sit and crawl in and lots of “flowers” to pick.

The scoot crawl

Daniel is an expert crawler, but when he’s transporting something, he has a funny scoot crawl that he does.

Clapping

Yesterday Daniel started clapping.  Here are a few videos.  In the last one he also does some peep eye.  The kitty is one of mine that I gave Daniel yesterday.  He formed an instant attachment with it and drags it everywhere.

Love Seat

Daniel’s latest craze is wanting to sit on the love seat (and stand on it, and fall over and giggle on it, and crawl down off of it).  Here he is with his Hungry Caterpillar book which he wanted almost constantly today.

Peep Eye – Daniel Style

First of all, this is not the proper way to use a bouncy seat, so don’t try this at home.  Daniel’s peep eye’s look a bit more like he has a headache.

Peas and Carrots

We’ve been trying Daniel with finger foods the past few days.  As you can see in this video, very little makes it to his mouth.  Funny that he doesn’t have trouble getting things in his mouth when it comes to dirt in the front door threshhold.
