| Melissa hosted the church shower for us at her house. She did an amazing job (as she always does!) organizing and decorating. |

| Vicki gave a wonderful devotional at the shower. She gave Daniel this cute seahorse rattle and these really soft washcloths and hoodie towel. |

Papaw, Aunt Brenda and Uncle Larry came to town for Papaw’s POW meeting. We were able to have several meals together as well as do a little computer shopping for Larry. Aunt Brenda and Uncle Larry brought gifts for Daniel – this beautiful little children’s story Bible and baby clippers that are lighted.

There’s a bib that says ‘Thank Heaven for Little Boys’. There are rattle booties, socks, mitts and a soothing teething ring. They also gave Daniel a bottle of Butt Wash that Papa took to work to show off, so it is not pictured here. |

I can’t really explain it, but pregnancy does stuff to your brain that just causes you to do things at certain times. My first big panic was that we needed to get a car seat so that after Daniel was born, we could actually bring him home. After fulfilling that pregnancy inspired panic, my next thought was, he has no clothes. I knew we were going to have showers and such and that clothes would come, but not knowing when Daniel would come in conjunction with the showers, that just didn’t give me adequate comfort. So this led to my treck to Wal-mart to get some basic, basic clothing.

In Mama’s spare time (yeah, right!) she’s been working on some interesting toys for Daniel. These are (as Papa keeps reminding me) not to scale fruits. If they were to scale, they wouldn’t be fun.

Mama got $100 of award money from work in the form of gift certificates. We put some more money with that and bought Daniel his stoller and infant car seat set.
